Check out this vivid and lifelike branch of peach blossoms drawn by Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) female artist Yun Bing. Her skillful brushwork outlines the stems, branches and intricate details of the leaves. The painting boasts elegant colors, exudes a sense of purity and captures the essence of the blossom.
The painter’s name and the title of the painting, “Yudong Xianzhu” (Immortal flower from a jade cave) can be found inscribed on the top right corner. The painting is in the permanent collection of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum.
