Hubei Talent Week began on June 27 in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.
At the launch ceremony, agreements on 10 key projects led by academicians or experts were inked. Three of the projects – an advanced electrochemistry energy storage technology research institution led by the research team of academician Shi Chengjie, an institute of medicine and physics led by the research team of academician Xu Hongxing, and a Central China angiocarpy listing headquarters and industrialization base led by the research team of academician Shang Xiaoke – will be built in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
In addition, 20 talent innovative service centers, 20 talent cultivation bases, and 30 talent stations were unveiled at the launch ceremony, nine of which are based in the valley.
The talent week program lasts for eight days and will consist of eight activities. Five of them will take place in OVC.
