Check out this stunning pair of gold hairpins! Dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the pair shares an identical design that features a gold filigree mandarin duck resting on a lotus flower and two arrowhead leaves where gems are believed to have been inlaid. The pin is made of silver.
Unearthed from the tomb of Wang Shiqi (1551-1618) in Linhai county, Zhejiang province, in 1956, the hairpins are among the permanent collection of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum.
