Districts in Jinan accelerate project construction

Since the beginning of this year, Jinan, capital of Shandong province, has seen significant progress in the construction of several projects and been bolstering the economic and social development of various districts.

The Cuizhai sub-district in the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation is home to 79 ongoing projects related to multiple fields such as infrastructure, public services and construction of resettlement areas. Presently, the south extension project of Jile Expressway and the Yellow River Fenghuang Bridge in Jinan have been completed and opened to traffic.

Tianqiao district has been driving industrial upgrading through its Sino-German Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park project. To date, the project has helped restore 35,000 cubic meters of land, improved soil conditions for 1.35 square kilometers of land, and created a seed reserve of 4,000 sq meters and a 5,000-sq-m sun drying yard. The park will continue to leverage advanced planting concepts and technologies and advanced automated machinery to boost its agricultural industry.

Since the beginning of this year, Huaiyin district has taken efforts to accelerate the construction of 230 key projects with a total investment of 318.2 billion yuan ($44.08 billion).

As of May, eight provincial projects and 12 municipal projects have begun construction in Laiwu district, which is known for its steel, cars and medicine sectors.

Shanghe county has been increasing investment in transportation and constructing an advanced network integrating high-speed rails, highways, freight lines and roads.

Huiyang sub-district in Jiyang district has completed the demolition and clearance of 13 projects covering a total of 10.65 hectares.

Zaoyuan sub-district in Zhangqiu district has invested more than 30 million yuan into five industrial projects and developed five featured industrial planting bases.
