The Bila River National Nature Reserve (Bila River Reserve), is situated in the forested region on the eastern foothills of the northern segment of the Greater Hinggan Mountains in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Covering a total area of 56,604 hectares, with a wetland area of 19,828 hectares, it was recognized as an internationally important wetland and added to the List of Wetlands of International Importance in February 2020.

The reserve encompasses diverse habitat types, including forests, shrubs, grasslands, wetland meadows, swamps, and water bodies. It stands as one of the most well-preserved forested swamp wetland ecosystems in the northern region. It provides a favorable living environment for 1,118 species of wild plants and 691 species of wild animals.
