The Tibet Trari Nam Co Wetlands, located in Coqen county of Ngari prefecture of the Tibet autonomous region, was established as an autonomous regional-level wetland protection area in 2008. This scenic wetland spans an area of 142,900 hectares.
The wetland serves as a habitat for various endangered species, such as the vulnerable snow leopard and the endangered steppe eagle. Furthermore, the site sustains a substantial population of more than 20,000 waterbirds on an annual basis.
