Suzhou charms HK with Su embroidery

Suzhou New District in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently showcased its intangible cultural heritage and tourism resources at the 37th International Tourism Exhibition in Hong Kong.

Su embroidery is a national intangible cultural heritage item and one of the four renowned embroidery styles in China while SND is one of its birthplaces.

Ma Yihong, inheritor of Su embroidery, exhibited her exquisite works at the exhibition, which attracted numerous visitors with their delicate designs, sophisticated craft, and elegant colors.

The beautiful scenery of SND was also introduced at the exhibition. With the Grand Canal to the east and Taihu Lake to the west, the district has 56 kilometers of water front along the two waterways and is home to 56 mountains and 319 rivers.

The district is a good option for tourists wishing to have an authentic tour of the Jiangnan region as it features numerous bridges, rivers, riverside residential buildings, and private Chinese-style gardens.
