During the three-day Dragon Boat Festival, Harbin, the capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, received 2.24 million tourist visits, including 1.98 from people in Heilongjiang, and 263,000 trips made by tourists from outside the province,

The total tourism revenue generated during the holiday was 2.10 billion yuan ($299.57 million).

This year, the Dragon Boat Festival benefited from strong domestic tourism demand, with local tours, short trips, suburban tours, and sightseeing tours becoming important markets leading the recovery of the industry.

During the holiday, the Harbin municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism organized various activities in cooperation with cultural and tourism enterprises and scenic spots to enrich the holiday market's products and improve the supply of local services.

For instance, the 27th Harbin Dragon Boat Race – the largest of its kind nationwide for corporate staff - was held on the Songhua River on June 22. Fifteen teams from enterprises and institutions across the city competed, presenting a thrilling race that attracted tens of thousands of local residents and tourists.

Also, the 7th Self-driving Camping Festival of Heilongjiang Province and the First Parent-Child Camping Festival of the province were held at the Yinquan International Hunting Ground in Harbin.

There were no major accidents or complaints related to culture and tourism during the holiday in the city.
