National book expo to be held in Jinan

The 31st National Book Expo will be held at Shandong International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jinan from July 27 to 31, organizers announced at a news conference held on June 19.

The main venue will feature eight exhibition halls that cover nearly 10 hectares. A sub-venue will be set up in Linyi, and book fairs will be held at Xinhua Bookstore outlets across the province.

At the main venue, the No 3 exhibition hall will host an exhibition of quality books, Shandong publications and books by Beijing-based publishers such as China Publishing Group Corporation.

The No 4 and 5 exhibition halls will have exhibition areas for books from other provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

The No 1 and 2 exhibition halls will have a special sales area and an exhibition area for special edition books by private publishing enterprises. The No 6 exhibition hall will have an exhibition area for rural libraries and an intangible cultural heritage creative and research-based learning exhibition area, and an art books exhibition area. The No 7 and 8 exhibition halls will have standard exhibition areas for private book publishing enterprises.

The event aims to display the achievements of China's publishing industry in the new era and promote exchanges and public participation.
