The Haifeng Wetland Nature Reserve, situated in Shanwei city, Guangdong province, covers a total area of 7,921.2 hectares.

Positioned along the migratory route of birds in the southeastern coastal region of China, this wetland showcases a rich variety of natural wetland ecosystems, offering an optimal habitat for waterbirds to reside, breed, and undertake their seasonal migrations.

According to records, during the winter season, a minimum of 40,000 migratory birds find solace in this wetland. It was listed as a Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Site) in 2008.
