Events promoting Taizhou's cultural and tourism offerings recently took place in Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan.

During these events, the Taizhou Culture and Tourism Group held various activities including exhibitions, performances, demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage, and cultural creations, to showcase the beauty of Jiangsu province and allow Korean and Japanese audiences to gain a deeper understanding of Taizhou.

Highlights of the events included the display of Taizhou's cultural creations such as the elegant guifei (an imperial consort of Emperor) mirror, creative pillows featuring Xinghua ship maidens, and Taixing mahjong. Visitors were also treated to a live performance of the traditional art form Guangling flower arrangement.

In Japan, audiences learned about Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, whose ancestral home is Taizhou, and the connection between Kabuki and Peking Opera.
