Camping mania boosts cultural tourism

With the popularity of the camping economy, Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot has vigorously cultivated new business forms and innovated the “camping+” model to stimulate the new consumption vitality of cultural tourism.

Recently, the Wulingyuan Hot Wilderness Camping Base in Zhangjiajie has been hugely popular among citizens and tourists. The blue sky, white clouds, green trees, grass, along with tents on the base constituted an engaging summer scenery.

There is a long industrial chain of the camping economy. The upstream of the chain is the construction and operation of campsites, while the downstream of the chain is the diverse consumption scenarios of food, housing, transportation, tourism, shopping, and entertainment.

The head of the the camping base said that the base has introduced 80 commodity sales merchants, formed a professional barbecue team who have tables, chairs, picnic mats, and barbecue stoves and provide comprehensive services such as tents, picnic mats, and barbecue stoves renting services.
At the camping base, Ms. Mao’s family has just set up an oven and were ready to try a series of innovative activities. She said that “It is the best choice for us to have a camping trip on weekends.”
