Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, is also known as a "vine and wine city". 

The largest wine production base in China, the city has held 13 international wine expos since 2007. As of June 2022, the city had 204 grape wine production enterprises, 63 well-known chateaus, and over 200 related enterprises. Presently, the brand value of the city's grape wine stands at 85.9 billion yuan ($12.05 billion).
