Located in the karst peak forest plains near the city of Guilin in South’s China Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the Huixian Karst Wetlands covers a total area of 586.75 hectares. It was included in the list of Wetlands of International Importance (Ramsar Site) in 2022.
The wetland is also an important pathway for birds migrating along the Xianggui (Hunan and Guangxi) Corridor and the broader migratory route of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway.
