Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province held a sport carnival on June 15 to mark the start of the 100-day countdown to the opening of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang.
Meanwhile, authorities conducted an anti-drug publicity activity at the event, during which a series of fun sports and art performances were featured.
An exhibition area showcasing the city's achievements in public sport, preparations for the upcoming Asian Games, and anti-drug efforts was also established during the event.
The event was aimed at creating an atmosphere for the Games and advocating a healthy lifestyle among residents in an effort to build a green, healthy and drug-free social environment, said a local official.
Zhoushan has this year held a series of sports competitions, including a trail running race, a half-Marathon race, and a sailing competition, to welcome the Games.
