The Shishan Financial Innovation Center in Suzhou New District, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, opened to the public on June 10, local media outlets reported.

With a built-up area of about 720,000 square meters, the innovation center cost around 13 billion yuan ($1.81 billion) to build and is a versatile financial block featuring office buildings, long-term rental apartments, and high-end hotels.

A number of digital financial projects and financial institutions, including China Everbright Bank, Changjiang Securities Co, and other financial institutions, have agreed to set up operations at the innovation center.

More than 40 retail brands, including Starbucks and Italian restaurant Mammamia, have opened outlets at the center.

The innovation center has also introduced long-term rental apartment brands and high-end hotel and apartment brands to provide comfortable accommodation to high-profile talent working in SND.

To celebrate its opening, the innovation center will issue more than 10,000 red envelopes for purchases and provide nearly 10,000 vouchers on online platforms. All the stores at the center currently offer digital RMB payment services.

Moving forward, SND will continue working to develop a first-class financial ecosystem, gathering high-end financial resources and developing a headquarters economy in a bid to create a new hub for financial innovation and development.
