The largest hydrogen car delivery ceremony in Central China's Hubei province was held in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on June 10. The event was considered the beginning of the city's mass adoption of hydrogen-powered and zero-carbon-emission transport tools.

At the event, 200 vehicles equipped with the fuel cell product "Qing Teng," exclusively developed and manufactured by SPIC, were put into use in Wuhan.

The 200 vehicles included trucks, dump trucks, and tractors of varying tonnages.

Zhang Yinguang, the general manager of SPIC Hydrogen Energy Tech Co, said, "Qing Teng fuel cells are core parts of cars. These fuel cells are composed of proton exchange membranes, carbon papers, electric piles, and other crucial elements. Currently, every unit of Qing Teng fuel cells is manufactured in WEDZ," said Zhang Yinguang, general manager of SPIC Hydrogen Energy Tech Co.

In 2020, the company established a subsidiary in the zone, focusing on the development of a hydrogen energy industrial base. This base houses China's most advanced proton exchange membrane production line, further emphasizing the company's commitment to advancing hydrogen energy technology.
