Yufu New City expands digitalization efforts with 4 new workshops

The Chongqing Economic and Informatization Commission recently announced a list of smart factories and digitalized workshops for 2023, and four workshops situated in the Yufu New City, located within the Liangjiang New Area, have been included in this prestigious roster.

One of the selected digitalized workshops is operated by Nemak Chongqing Automotive Components Co. It stands out with its state-of-the-art imported smelting furnaces and cutting-edge equipment. By utilizing robots and mechanical arms, the workshop significantly reduces reliance on manual labor, ensuring enhanced production efficiency and top-notch product quality.

Chongqing Zhixin Industrial Group's workshop, another of the four chosen, specializes in supplying stamping and welding parts to the joint venture and independent brand vehicle manufacturers. Through continuous intelligent transformations, the workshop has achieved the capability to control production line operations. The implementation of a comprehensive intelligent manufacturing digital information platform has facilitated seamless information sharing related to production activities, supply chains, logistics, costs, and warehousing resources for the firm.

Yufu New City has been dedicated to the development of the digital economy, with a focal point on smart manufacturing in recent years. As of now, the city is proud to be the home to 10 smart factories and 26 digitalized workshops.
