Wuxi stop of 2023 China Baseball League wraps up

The 10-team 2023 China Baseball League ended its first leg at the Wuxi Sports Professional Sports Team Management Center in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 25, with the Shanghai Red Eagles beating out the other nine teams to win the Wuxi leg.

In the last round of the day, the Shanghai Red Eagles beat the Guangdong Cheetahs 16:6 to finish the match. The Jiangsu Huge Horses, the National Games champion, finished second with an 8-1 record after beating the Sichuan Dragons 1-0, while the Beijing Tigers came in third with a 7-2 record after beating the Shandong Blue Whales.

This year's baseball league consists of three stops in Wuxi, Chengdu and Tianjin, and the 10 teams played a single round-robin match in Wuxi.

The top eight teams will then play two rounds of a single round-robin match in Chengdu and Tianjin, and the top two teams in terms of total points will play a best-of-three match in Tianjin to determine the champion.
