Harbin enterprises preliminarily reached cooperation intentions with 448 procurement parties, with an intended sales volume of 43,000 metric tons and an intended sales amount of 400 million yuan ($57.56 million) at the 14th Guangzhou Restaurant Expo.

The expo was successfully held in Guangzhou, the capital city of South China’s Guangdong province, from May 17 to 19.

Over 50 Harbin enterprises involved in high-quality grain and oil, agricultural and sideline products, and forestry enterprises participated in the event.

They were organized by the Harbin food bureau, Harbin agriculture, and rural affairs bureau, Harbin forestry and grassland bureau, and other departments.

Hundreds of Harbin products represented by high-quality rice, fresh corn, organic grains, and green forest products have attracted the attention of merchants from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and others.

Harbin Agricultural Science Institute showcased its Hanongke series of cold region agricultural science and technology achievements, presenting Harbin's high-quality and characteristic agricultural products in an all-around way.

"Participation in this expo provides a good opportunity for enterprises to reach potential customers and expand sales channels," said a staff member of Heilongjiang Haowei Farm Food Co.

Harbin enterprises have made a significant impact in Guangdong, with over 360 flagship stores of high-quality grain and oil products, along with more than 10,000 sales outlets.

The annual sales volume of Harbin rice alone in Guangdong exceeds 120,000 tons, with over 200,000 tons of raw materials transported from Harbin to Guangdong every year.
