New measures implemented to enhance environment

The government of Southwest China's Chongqing municipality recently introduced a to-do list to incentivize market entities and optimize the business environment.

The list included 108 specific measures in 18 aspects. It was designed to lower the market entry threshold and make it more convenient and efficient regarding government affairs handling for entrepreneurs and residents alike.

The online government service platforms for enterprises will be upgraded, and the application scenarios for the electronic business license will be further expanded.

The construction quality and security regulation will be enhanced, and the relevant government examination and approval reform will be carried out.

In terms of public infrastructure, a one-stop service platform for water, power, and gas utilization and communication will be established to help corporations access them as soon as possible and reduce their costs.

The digitalized reform for employment services will proceed, and the legal rights of new types of laborers will be respected and protected.

The sci-tech innovation activity of enterprises will be encouraged and supported through policies and loans.

The list also makes detailed requirements in world trade, taxation, business disputes, market competitions, intellectual property rights, government procurement, market regulation, and tendering and bidding.
