Suzhou New District in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, secured 63 projects at an investment promotion conference held in Shenzhen on May 10, local media outlets reported.

These projects involve photons, medical devices, biological medicine, and integrated circuits and include 20 projects with a respective investment of more than 500 million yuan ($72.12 million).

Chung-Shin Y. Rong, academician of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences, described SND as an ideal place to live and start a business, as the district boasts complete industrial chains, efficient administrative services, and a superior natural environment.

Chao Juheng, vice-president of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, said that he expects further cooperation with SND, while Liu Tangzhi, executive director of Skyworth Group, noted that SND's favorable business environment consolidates the group's confidence in the district.

Yu Meihua, an official from SND, added that SND is seizing upon opportunities brought about by Yangtze River Delta integration and the Science and Technology Innovation Circle around Taihu Lake to create first-class industrial and innovative clusters.

A number of platforms, including OpenHarmony Community and the Alumni Association Suzhou Innovation Center, were inaugurated at the conference.
