Authorities in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province have been exploring new means to bolster its nighttime economy, including the holding of shopping festivals and lantern parades.
Here are some of the most popular night attractions in the city.
Dongguan Street
Dongguan Street, which has a history of more than 1,200 years, is considered the birth place of Yangzhou's canal and salt merchant cultures.
Named one of the top 10 national historical and cultural streets in China and a national 4A scenic spot, the street features buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
Slender West Lake

Night tours of Slender West Lake will be opened to the public on March 15, and will last until Nov 15.
During the period, a variety of activities like drone light shows, opera festivals and intangible cultural heritage fairs will be held.

Going on a night boat tour on the ancient Grand Canal is one of the best ways to learn about Yangzhou's culture and history.
Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Spot

Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Spot, which was designated as a national 4A scenic attraction in 2018, is renowned for its water conservancy project.
Pishi Street

Pishi Street, which features households selling local cultural products and rustic walls, has been attracting many visitors in recent years.
