More than 40 bird species, including black headed gulls, little egrets, moorhens, and blackbirds, have in recent years become a relatively common sight at Yunhe Sanwan Scenic Area in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province following efforts by local authorities to improve the ecological environment.
These efforts include wetland conservation and constructing bionic buildings.
Other bird species, such as Fulica atras and kingfishers, have also been appearing in the scenic area.
