Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, will install 1,224 new charging terminals this year, according to information from Harbin Transportation Group.

As stated in the plan, the number of charging terminals put into use by Harbin Transportation Group will reach 2,504 by the end of this year.

They will satisfy the charging needs of 2,800 new energy buses and at least 20,000 small and non-commercial vehicles every day.

In 2019, Harbin Transportation Group began to input charging terminals throughout the city's urban area, first installing 862 in the first batch, and then another 418 from 2020 to 2022.

It is understood that the charging terminals that were deployed in the city's urban area in the early stages mainly meet the charging needs of buses, as they are located in bus terminals and in bus rest zones under bridges.

At present, the layout of charging facilities in the city is focused on convenient public travel.

The 1,224 to-be-built charging terminals this year will be placed in the parking lots of government departments, enterprises and institutions, spaces under bridges, public parking lots, and scenic spots.
