Flight W6207 of Hungary's Wizz Air, fully loaded with daily essentials, took off from Hangzhou International Airport at 18:08 on April 27, marking the official launch of the Hangzhou-Budapest cargo route.

The Hangzhou to Budapest cargo route will be operated by Universal Translink through a leasing agreement with Wizz Air, using an A330 cargo aircraft to fly four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The maximum cargo capacity for a one-way flight is 60 metric tons, with cross-border e-commerce commodities and medical equipment being the main types of cargo.

"The opening of this route provides a stable, frequent and fast air channel for cross-border trade between Zhejiang province and Central and Eastern Europe," said a director from the Hangzhou airport logistics company.

Budapest, capital of Hungary, is located in the heart of the European continent, while Hangzhou is an important regional city in East China and a major transportation hub in the Yangtze River Delta region. The two cities established a friendly city relationship in 1999 and have continued to deepen exchanges and cooperation, achieving strong results in various fields.
