"Tidal trees" were seen on the shoal of Jianghai Lanwan Resort in Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province on April 21, adding a beautiful effect to the beach.

"Tidal trees" are a kind of sedimentary shaping formed during the rise and fall of sea water under a natural tidal influence.

Qidong is where the Yangtze River, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea meet and the first place where one can see the sunrise in Jiangsu.
