Discover charm of Pingyin in Jinan

Pingyin county in Jinan, Shandong province is renowned for planting roses and is known as China's "capital of roses". It is also known to the country as the birthplace of ejiao, which is a traditional medicinal tonic made out of donkey glue.

Pingyin boasts not only profound cultural deposits, but also stunning natural scenery and rich tourism resources. The county is beefing up efforts to develop its tourism brand and has built eight national A-level scenic spots.

Hongfanchi town in Pingyin is known as the Spring Town of Shandong. There are 36 springs in the town, among which four springs (Hongfanchi Spring, Shuyuan Spring, Huquan Spring, and Riyue Spring) are among the "72 famous springs" list of Jinan.

Quanfu Xiaojiangnan Scenic Area in Hongfanchi town covers a total area of over 2,000 mu (133.33 hectares), and enjoys prominent geographical advantages, as it is located at the junction of Jinan, Tai'an, and Liaocheng. It is a one-hour drive to the three cities, as well as a two-hour drive to Dezhou, Heze, and Jining.

The scenic spot has three major tourist areas for visitors to experience the charm of spring waters, a bamboo forest, as well as to immerse themselves in the natural landscapes and beautiful atmosphere of the Jiangnan region (the area south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River).

The spring water area has both natural landscape and cultural attractions, which is a must-visit for tourists in the Quanfu Xiaojiangnan Scenic Area. The bamboo forest area covers about 800 mu, and offers visitors places for camping, sightseeing, leisure, and entertainment. Visitors can also admire the charm of Huizhou-style architecture and explore the world of hanfu (a traditional Chinese garment) fashion.

This year, Pingyin county has launched more than 60 cultural and tourism activities, including festival celebrations, recreational fruit picking, rural travel, and cultural exhibitions, to create an integrated tourism feast.
