30 projects to improve living environment of national high-tech zone

The opening ceremony for 30 projects related to urban construction in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Zone in Tongzhou district was held on March 11, local media reported.

Official statistics show that the 30 projects will cost 5.89 billion yuan ($853.93 million). Three of the projects involve settlement buildings, 17 projects involve municipal roads, six projects involve landscaping, and four projects involve water environment treatment.

Zhu Xiaoqing, vice director of the zone's bureau of housing and urban-rural construction, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

He said that the projects started this year aim to improve the zone's living facilities and environment.
