AC312E, the first light twin-engine civil helicopter developed in China, recently completed its full-parameter verification test flight after the modification of the aerial geophysical exploration and remote sensing survey equipment at Zhanghe Airport.

The helicopter was developed by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group, headquartered in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province.

During the test flight, the AC312E helicopter carried a variety of measurement equipment at the same time, overcame technical problems such as heavy onboard load and mutual interference between various instruments, and achieved simultaneous flight measurement of multiple measurement parameters.

In addition to verifying airborne gravity, airborne magnetism, and airborne radioactivity measurements, the test flight also included the first time-domain airborne electromagnetic measurement and airborne remote sensing carried out on the civil helicopter platform of AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group.

It marked a big step forward for the AC312E helicopter in the field of airborne geophysical exploration and remote sensing applications.

After the AC312E helicopter completes test flights in all areas, it will be delivered to the Natural Resources Airborne Geophysical Prospecting and Remote Sensing Center of China Geological Survey Bureau for aerial geophysical exploration and remote sensing survey work.
