Asian journalists discover Guangzhou's history, urban growth, biomedicine

During the Asian Youth Leaders Forum held in Guangzhou's Nansha district, 16 journalists from 14 Asian countries visited and explored the city. 

On March 26, the delegation of journalists toured Baiyun, Tianhe, and Huangpu districts, visiting the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Huacheng Square, and the Guangzhou Bio-Island Laboratory to experience the city's rich history, modern urban landscape, and the rapid development of its biomedical industry.

The journalists were impressed by what they saw and planned to share their experiences with their readers and audiences back home. They will also encourage their readers, as well as their families and friends to visit Guangzhou in the future.

At the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, the journalists were captivated by the city's 2,000-year history. They noted that many cities worldwide could learn from Guangzhou's urban renewal projects that preserve historical structures.

Since Guangzhou International Bio-Island was established in July 2011, it has become a global hotspot for the biomedical industry. The journalists learned of the rapid development of Guangzhou's biomedical industry, which focuses on R&D, medical testing, stem cell, and regenerative medicine, and high-end medical equipment.
