Design week kicks off to link Wuxi with Macao

During the week, a series of forums, including the Digital Technology Industry Integration and Development Forum and the Cultural and Creative Industry Forum, will also be held to enhance communication between people of Wuxi, Macao and outstanding international designers.

Yang Jianping, secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of the management committee of the Wuxi Economic Development Zone, said that Macao's diverse background and cultural integration have created high-quality design works and attracted a large number of talented designers.

"As a famous national historical and cultural city, Wuxi has a long and impressive history, a developed economy and convenient transportation," he said. "Those conditions can strongly support communication in the design industry of the two cities."
