A three-day exhibition to showcase China's civil aviation innovation achievements kicked off in Beijing on Thursday, serving as an important platform to demonstrate high-quality development in the sector.

Guided by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the exhibition aims to show innovation in smart travel, smart logistics, smart operation and smart regulation in the sector. Organizers are demonstrating new technology applications in civil aviation innovation, including big data, artificial intelligence, mobile internet and cloud computing, that can assist with building safe, reliable and independent industrial and supply chains in the civil aviation industry.

At the exhibition, a rest cabin that can be used at airports has been drawing attention. The cabin gives passengers a private space to take a nap while waiting for their flight.

A robot that can cruise around an airport and serve fresh coffee to travelers is also on display at the event.

Nearly 100 participants are taking part, hailing from airline companies, airports, research institutes, universities, manufacturing enterprises and more.

The free exhibition, the second to be held in China since 2018, is open to the public.
