Efforts to optimize the business environment of Jingjiang city in Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province are paying off and helping many resident companies tackle challenging pressing concerns.

Taizhou Dongsheng Warehousing Co Ltd, for example, is a large Japan-funded enterprise based in Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone that is mainly engaged in the lifting and installation of large structural parts. The company recently planned to change its corporate structure and shareholders to meet a certain deadline.

According to normal procedure, the key person in charge of the enterprise should make an onsite visit to the relevant department. However, as that was not possible this time, other solutions were sought.

Chen Xianyin, who is responsible for handling such affairs at the company, turned to Jingjiang's market supervision bureau for ideas, as the team was coincidentally in a nearby area at the time conducting unrelated research.

After learning about the company's urgent task, the bureau agreed to help take care of all the procedures via video link on March 14.

"It used to take over a month, and I did not expect we could handle it (remotely) through video links," said Chen.
