The 2023 Global Service Conference for Cross-Border E-commerce Sellers and the proposal announcement for three cross-border e-commerce centers were held on Feb 27.

Guangzhou proposed to build a global service center for cross-border e-commerce sellers, a super supply chain center for cross-border e-commerce, and a business innovation center for cross-border e-commerce.

As an emerging industry, cross-border e-commerce is developing rapidly. It has become a new driving force for foreign trade development, a new channel for transformation and upgrading, and a new way to achieve high-quality economic development.

Guangzhou has been making every effort to create a business ecosystem that is conducive to the sustainable, safe, and stable development of the cross-border e-commerce industry. The cross-border e-commerce import and export transactions at Baiyun Airport and Nansha Port both exceeded 100 billion yuan ($14.35 billion).

These three centers will provide one-stop services for the cross-border e-commerce industry. These centers will also promote the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, enhance Guangzhou's international influence, and solidify the city's role as a cross-border e-commerce leader.

In order to accelerate the construction of an international hub city for cross-border e-commerce, it is essential for Guangzhou to make every effort to build these three centers in order to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and help brands expand their overseas reach.
