China to offer top business environment for multinationals

China is unswervingly expanding its opening-up policy and is willing to provide a first-class business environment for the development of multinational enterprises including Qualcomm in the country, an official of the National Development and Reform Commission said.

Gao Jian, deputy director-general of the Department of International Cooperation of the NDRC, made the comments in a meeting with Ye Xiaowei, senior vice-president of the US chip heavyweight Qualcomm on Tuesday.

Ye said Qualcomm's research and development center and other businesses in China are progressing smoothly and the company is willing to continue to contribute to China's high-quality development.
