It has successively been officially recognized as a National Torch Program Taixing Fine Specialty Chemicals Characteristic Industry Base, a Global Fine Chemical Industry Cluster Cooperation Base, a China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Base and a National Intellectual Property Rights Pilot Park.

The Taixing Economic Development Zone has also been listed among the top 10 chemical industrial parks in China for nine consecutive years. In 2021, it ranked No 5.

The zone is home to 19 businesses funded by Global 500 enterprises and produces 19 leading international products including vinyl chloride, phthalocyanine pigments, polyacrylamide and lithium battery electrolyte additives.

Its products – such as caustic soda, styrene, acrylic acid and polyvinyl chloride – have big international market shares. Moreover, the China-Japan (Taixing) New Material Industrial Park was approved as a provincial international cooperation park.

Great efforts have been made to develop cutting-edge new materials such as high-performance resins, special engineering plastics, elastomers, polyurethanes and plastic alloys.

Efforts have also been made to develop a complete pharmaceuticals industry supply chain for what is called R&D + APIs + finished drugs + biological drugs – and daily care products for washing, cosmetics and oral care and modern productive services.
