Tianhe conference focuses on high-quality development

The first sub-meeting of the Tianhe high-quality development conference recently took place in Guangzhou's Tianhe district, with governmental officials and 36 company representatives taking part.

Focusing on the high-quality development of major platforms in Tianhe, the meeting also discussed the construction of key projects, attracting effective investment, promoting urban village renovation, and shoring up market confidence.

Company representatives said at the meeting that they are confident in future development as key platforms in Tianhe are endowed with unique spatial resources and cultural conditions. In addition, the Tianhe government has also launched preferential policies and provided resource assistance.

In 2023, the Tianhe central business district (CBD) will expand its building economy and headquarters economy, while Guangzhou International Financial City will advance eight key tasks like investment promotion and infrastructure construction. Tianhe Smart City and Tianhe Intelligence Valley will accelerate the construction of six key areas.

"We will accelerate the revision and introduction of a new round of high-quality development policies based on the development needs of market entities in various industries, supporting the high-quality development of key enterprises," said a Tianhe official at the meeting.

The official added that the district will also accelerate the construction of major infrastructure projects in transportation, energy, and water environment in 2023, as well as encourage private capital, driving nearly 10 billion yuan ($1.46 billion) in infrastructure investment for the year.

In addition, the district will advance urban village renovation to improve living environment and public-service quality.
