Bodu River Sports Center to be built

The Bodu River Sports Center Project was officially launched recently.

Located in Jiangxi sub-district, Xinwu district, Wuxi, the Bodu River Sports Center will sit on the west side of the Bodu River water conservancy hub, covering an area of approximately 10,895 square meters with a total construction area of 20,616.38 square meters.

The center will feature a comprehensive hall, swimming pool, basketball courts, ping pong room, badminton courts and other sports buildings.

The planning and design of the project has taken into consideration the current state of the site and the planning environment of the area. Based on the existing shape of the land, the design utilizes existing facilities to prioritize the needs of people, with building functions being applicable.

The project incorporates local culture by extracting elements from ancient building eaves, with the main building incorporating a rising eave roof design. The overall structure is practical and well-equipped, according to officials.

Upon completion, the sports center will become an important facility in Xinwu district and improve the layout of public cultural and sports facilities in the district, promoting the health and fitness of the public and cultural activities.
