Three thousand years ago, two founding monarchs – Duke Jiang Taigong (Jiang Shang) and Duke Zhougong (Ji Dan) – made extraordinary predictions about the future of the other's country before they started governing their states. It is almost beyond belief that their predictions come true so much later.

Due to the influence of the two vassal states on later ages, today's Shandong province is known as Qilu Land and Qilu culture has become an important part of traditional Chinese culture.
