YRD to develop major technical equipment cluster

The 2022 International Major Technical Equipment Conference, or IMTEC was held on Nov 29 in the Lin-gang Special Area – in East China's Shanghai city – to promote deeper global collaboration and to establish major equipment clusters.

During the conference, Shanghai city and Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces signed a memorandum to establish a major technical equipment cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region.
They will join forces with leading companies in fields of civil aviation, shipbuilding and oceanography engineering and electrical equipment to build innovation centers, service platforms and industry alliances.
Several platforms – including the Shanghai Commercial Aero Engine Industry Innovation Research Institute and the Shanghai Ship Power Manufacturing Innovation Center – were unveiled at the event.
