HARBIN -- Northeast China's Heilongjiang province saw its foreign trade goods grow by 31.1 percent year-on-year to 211.56 billion yuan ($29.6 billion) in the first ten months of this year, customs data showed.

During the period, Heilongjiang's imports and exports to countries along the Belt and Road reached 167.3 billion yuan, up 39.1 percent, accounting for 79.1 percent of the province's total foreign trade value. Trade with members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership rose 20.4 percent to reach 18.2 billion yuan, according to Harbin customs in the provincial capital.

"The customs has issued 20 measures to promote stability and quality of foreign trade since the beginning of this year," said Piao Minghua, deputy director of the customs, adding that special efforts were made to help bail out trade companies affected by COVID-19.

The export of goods, including labor-intensive products and agricultural products, maintained a good trend during the period, said the customs.
