Dongjiang releases 3.5 tons of Filipino clams into Bohai Sea

Dongjiang comprehensive bonded area in the coastal Binhai New Area, Tianjin, released 3.5 tons of Filipino clams into the waters around Qinhai Park on Nov 18.

It is expected to strengthen the conservation of aquatic biological resources, improve the ecological environment of water areas, protect biodiversity, and promote the harmonious existence of man and nature.

The move, aiming to improve the ecological functions, follows a survey on the ecological environment around the coastline by the area.

The Dongjiang Comprehensive Bonded Area will release more types and quantities based on the results of monitoring and surveys.
