Suzhou, Yancheng seek closer cooperation

The Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Suzhou New District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Suzhou-Yancheng Coastal Cooperation Park in Dafeng district, Yancheng on Oct 27, local media outlets reported.

The agreement aims to further improve the industrial layout of the two areas and strengthen talent exchanges.

The Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone features a sound industrial foundation and is currently working on a modern industrial system for high-end equipment manufacturing, new-generation information technology, biopharmaceuticals and medical apparatus, and digital economy.

The Suzhou-Yancheng Coastal Cooperation Park, which was established in 2011, has taken advantage of Suzhou's rich industrial deposits and achieved intensive cooperation in advanced manufacturing, including in high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials.

The agreement is expected to better integrate the two areas and create new development patterns, such as linking Suzhou enterprises with Yancheng resources and Suzhou R&D capabilities with Yancheng's manufacturing strength.
