The China-ASEAN (Bama) big data cloud computing base project, which is located in the core area of the digital health town in Bama Yao autonomous county, is expected to be completed and put into operation early next year.

Si Yongheng, engineering department director of the China-ASEAN (Bama) big data cloud computing base project, noted that the main civil construction, facade decoration, indoor basic decoration, outdoor pipes, and roads construction, as well as landscaping construction of each building, have been completed. The outdoor greening seedling planting, data room indoor mechanical work, and electrical supporting engineering construction are currently underway.

The project is a major one coordinated and promoted by Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with a planned total area of about 180 mu (12 hectare) and a total construction area of 174,000 square meters. The computer rooms are all designed and built according to the national Class A standard.

By integrating the digital industry chain, upgrading traditional data centers, and providing a full range of digital infrastructure services from network resource leasing, cloud storage, and cloud computing to supercomputing, the base strives to build the first public cloud big data supercomputing platform in Guangxi.

After being put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 970 million yuan ($133 million), contribute 50 million yuan in tax revenue to the local area every year, provide 130 jobs, as well as effectively boost Bama's economic and social development.
