Alshaa Right Banner fully stabilizes its economy

Since the beginning of this year, Alshaa Right Banner has adhered to its goal of striving for progress with stability. It highlighted key tasks such as promoting industrial development, protecting market entities, focusing on project construction and stabilizing basic people's livelihood, and made every effort to accelerate development.

"Raising camels is a good industry for our farmers and herdsmen to get rich. Now I have more than 70 peaks of milking camels and can milk more than 200 kilograms a day, which can help reach a yearly income of more than 300,000 yuan," said Ma Jun, head of a camel raising cooperative.

At present, the cooperative has built 825 square meters of forage warehouse, 360 square meters of milking workshop and 7,000 square meters of camel stables, with complete water and electrical  facilities. The cooperative has achieved rapid development.

This year, Alshaa Right Banner focused on building a camel milk industry distribution center, a Trona production, processing and sales center, a desert tourism destination and a tourism distribution center. They demonstrate and coordinate the development of the three industries, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the economy in a focused way.

The Banner has implemented 56 key construction projects with a total investment of 24.1 billion yuan ($3.76 billion) and an annual planned investment of 7.78 billion yuan. To date, 44 projects have been resumed, with a resumption rate of 78.6 percent.

From January to May, the investment in fixed assets of more than 5 million yuan in the whole Banner increased by 52.2 percent year-on-year. The actual capital introduced from inside and outside the region was 624 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3 times.

The 200 MW wind storage integration project started recently is one of the key projects of Inner Mongolia Company of the State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC). After the completion of the project, the local energy structure will be improved and the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will be increased. Meanwhile, about 600 million kWh of clean energy will be delivered every year, 180,000 tons of standard coal will be saved, and the emissions of sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide will be reduced by 8,000 tons and 440,000 tons respectively, bringing significant ecological benefits to the local area.

This year, Alshaa Right Banner regards the development of new energy industry as the main direction of promoting energy reform, establishes an energy consumption index ledger, and strictly reviews energy conservation.

From January to May, the energy consumption of industrial enterprises above designated size was 44,800 tons of standard coal, decreases 43.17 percent year-on-year, providing more energy consumption space for promoting the high-quality economic development of the region.

The Banner also promoted the construction of four new energy projects, with an installed capacity of 465,000 kilowatts (including three affordable grid-connected centralized wind power projects of 450,000 kilowatts in 2021 and one decentralized wind power project of 15,000 kilowatts in 2021). It is expected that grid-connected power generation will be realized this year.
