WND company to win China's industry 'Oscars'

Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co, based in the Wuxi National Hi-tech District, is expected to win an award at this year's China Grand Awards for Industry, according to local media outlets.

The to-be-awarded project is an overall solution for intelligent manufacturing based on new energy equipment developed by the company. It aims to comprehensively strengthen industrial automation and promote the formation of new production models and industrial forms.

Through the "integrated line + digitization" model, the project will lead the development of lithium battery equipment from a single machine to an entire line and continuously integrate intelligent manufacturing execution systems, intelligent logistics and warehousing systems in order to improve the serial and collaborative management of all processes and improve the efficiency of production lines.

Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co was established in WND in 2002. With over 20 years of development, it boasts the largest market share in lithium battery intelligent equipment in the world.

The company values technological research and development and product quality. It spends over 15 percent of its annual sales revenue on research and development, or over 1 billion yuan ($147.49 billion). The company has built three provincial R&D and innovation platforms, owns more than 1,600 authorized patents, and develops over 60 new products annually.

Hosted by the China Federation of Industrial Economics every three years, the China Grand Awards for Industry represent the highest honor for many industries in China and are often referred to as the "Oscars of Chinese industry". This year, the event invited leading enterprises with core technologies and intellectual property rights from a range of different sectors.
