With the successful completions of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, Nansha Bridge, and Guangzhou Metro Line 18, Nansha has been playing an increasingly vital role in connecting different places in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The "half-hour traffic circle" between Nansha, Hong Kong, several core cities on the east and west sides of the Pearl River Estuary, as well as the main urban area of Guangzhou has been created and increasingly improved.

Of particular note, the Qingsheng hub area plans to build the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao high-speed railway in the near future, making it the only area in the mainland with a high-speed railway line that can directly reach both Hong Kong and Macao.

Apart from building a comprehensive rail transit system, Nansha has also witnessed the rapid development of its shipping and logistics industry. Nansha Passenger Port, a national first-class port, provides people the ability to reach Hong Kong within one hour by boat.

The Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port, which boasts a 60,000-square-meter terminal building and an annual customs clearance capacity of 750,000, is the largest and most functional cruise complex in Asia. It is expected that most of its commercial projects will be open to the public by the end of this year.
