The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday begins on Sept 10, which has prompted museums and art galleries in Shanghai's Pudong New Area to launch a wide variety of vibrant events to keep tourists entertained.

One of the museums participating in the festivities is the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP), which plans to host multiple art exhibitions during the three-day holiday. Located in the heart of Lujiazui, MAP broke ground on September 26, 2017 and opened to the public in July 2021. The museum boasts magnificent views of city landmarks such as the Oriental Pearl Tower and the Huangpu River from its windows which is one reason why the museum is a famous tourist site on the internet.
