Nansha attracts investment with leading industries

The Nansha session of the eighth China Guangzhou Investment Annual Conference was held on Aug 30. Nearly over 500 participants, including 200 industry leaders attended the event.

During this year's conference, Nansha district saw 73 projects signed into effect, involving a total investment of nearly 140 billion yuan ($20 billion), covering 40 key projects focusing on chip manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy, automobile manufacturing, high-end equipment, marine technology, and other industrial fields.

The strong numbers can be attributed to new business opportunities unlocked by the Overall Plan for Promoting Comprehensive Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao by Further Deepening Opening-up in Nansha District of Guangzhou, which was released by the State Council on June 14, and also show that global investors are optimistic about Nansha's development prospects.

In addition, the conference awarded licenses to eight investment ambassadors and unicorn enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the high-quality development of Nansha industries. Furthermore, Nansha also implemented its "nine measures to explore the sky" policy to support commercial aerospace enterprises operating in Nansha.
